The Super Multi Plus E series outdoor units have been newly designed and use the latest
technologies to realise energy saving performance and quiet operation.

High Energy Savings
With DC inverter power control the air
conditioner can operate at low capacity
most of the time. This is especially
important at night in a residential situation
when the whole family is at home. DC
inverter power control is able to achieve a
high COP even when multiple indoor units
operate simultaneously for long periods of
time.
During night time
Quiet operation features that achieve total comfort
Quietness is yet another important feature of Daikin’s Super Multi Plus E series. To
reduce noise and realise comfortable operation, latest technologies and features are
applied to the outdoor units, achieving the quiet operating sound level of 43 dB (A) in
night quiet mode.
Night quiet mode
Set on the outdoor PCB. Time of maximum
temperature is memorised. The low operating mode
will become active 8 hours*
1
after the peak
temperature in the daytime, and operation will return
to normal 10 hours*
2
after that. The operation sound
level for the night mode can be selected from 49 dB
(A) (Step 1), 46 dB (A) (Step 2) and 43 dB (A) (Step
3).

Starting time and ending time can be input. (External
control adaptor for outdoor unit, DTA104A61 or
DTA104A62, and a subsequently obtained timer are
necessary.)
Manual mode
Mode 2.
Combination of mode 1 and 2 can be used depending
on your needs.

*2. Initial setting. Can be selected from 8, 9 and 10 hours.
Notes: • This function is available in setting at site.
• The relationship of outdoor temperature (load) and time shown in the
graph is just an example.

These two new features work to significantly
reduce noise. Guides are added to the bell
mouth intake to reduce turbulence in the
airflow generated by fan suction. The new
Aero Spiral Fan features fan blades with bent
blade edges, further reducing turbulence.
Smooth Air Inlet Bell Mouth and Aero Spiral Fan
A larger sub-cooled area reduces refrigerant flow sound by making it easer to form
a liquid seal in front of the electrical valve.

Super Aero Grille
Refined ventilation mechanism enables further reduction in required fan power.
Escaping eddies are sucked
in by the bent blade edges,

Sine wave DC inverter
>> Smooth sine wave DC inverter
Use of an optimised sine wave
smoothes motor rotation, further
improving operating efficiency.
Use of neodymium magnets in the motor
enables efficient generation of high torque,
reducing the size of the compressor.
>> Powerful magnets
Changes to the shape of the spiral and volume
ratio result in optimal refrigerant layout.
>> Optimal refrigerant configuration
The strength of the casing has been increased
by boosting the internal dome pressure.
>> Stronger materials
Neodymium magnets are
much more powerful than
the commonly used ferrite
magnets.

Overheating losses are reduced by pressurising the area
around the motor, boosting energy saving performance in
conjunction with other features.
Reluctance DC Scroll Compressor
By introducing high pressure oil, the
reactive force from the fixed scroll is added
to the internal force, thereby reducing
thrust losses. This results in improved
efficiency and suppressed sound levels.
